Amy Faith Morley is a British singer-songwriter of an eclectic taste in music, ranging from Folk, Country and Rock/Pop, sometimes with a theatrical twist! Her most recent contribution, third album, ‘Comfort and Joy’ ushers in a fresh take on the beloved Christmas music, combining classic folk carols, overlooked cinematic melodies, and festive children’s songs for a moving experience that will bless listeners of all ages!
During the pandemic Amy released her second album ‘Abide with Me’ is a classic set of hymns that Amy recorded from home during the beginning of the pandemic, after sharing ‘songs by candlelight’ live to her listeners on live stream. The albums have been gifted to over 50 care homes in the UK and the candlelight theme continued to encourage people throughout Christmas as Amy shared her YouTube vlog ‘Advent by Candlelight’
It is evident that wherever Amy plays, people are not only inspired by her warm, comforting vocals but also encouraged by her story from a life of brokenness, fear and Identity-struggles, to finding faith, healing and ongoing freedom.
By the age of 12 Amy organised local charity concerts, raising money for the Kosovo crisis and children in need. As a sixteen year-old Amy scooped first place out of 100 entries in Music Quest 2002 competition. This led onto further performances with radio airtime and a long line of performances including the annual Summer XS Festival, where Amy played to 25,000 people, on the bill that featured Hear Say Liberty X, Craig David and Claire Sweeney.
Amy completed her education in Music before spending 3 years at a Bible College in Swansea after an encounter that changed her life and set her on an extraordinary journey in the Christian faith. Amy formed lifelong friendships with students from other nations, including meeting her would-be husband Josh. Together they have travelled around the globe to places such as India, Albania, Hungary and the USA teaching assisting at YWAM schools and also getting involved in short term projects helping to support the homeless and trafficked.
Amy’s uplifting debut album ‘Morning Star’ was released in 2014, followed by a tour ‘The Journey’ where she travelled from place to place with her acoustic guitar and a vintage suitcase filled with message-in-a-bottle style postcards which she gave out to her listeners! This included churches, cafes, bars, festivals, soup kitchens, youth groups and nursing homes.
As well as working as an entertainer, performing her songs and telling her story, Amy also has a desire to encourage churches in their missions through understanding the wider picture of ‘The Kingdom’
