Concerts & Sing-a-longs
for Care Homes
Seeing smiles on the faces of residents as they listen to their favourite songs is a huge reason why I love bringing the gift of music into care homes. Music is an excellent form of therapy, relaxation, and fun. It can be especially helpful for those living with dementia in rekilding memories and encouraging creative expression.
As a trained vocalist, I have extensive experience performing locally and overseas for the past 15 years. I have sung in a variety of social settings from large outdoor festivals to social clubs. I have led sing-a-long concerts at nursing homes in the USA as well as locally in the U.K. I always aim to make residents feel at ease and relaxed so they can get the most out of the music time and have an enjoyable experience.
My repertoire ranges from World War II songs, Pop songs of the 1950s to the present day, country songs, musical theatre and hymns as well as many classics that your residents will recognise and find easy to sing along with. During the Christmas season, carols and seasonal songs can be included in the song list. I can also take requests before arriving if you know some of your resident’s favourite songs!
