Spent the day in recording with Mad Hat studios, working with some fantastic guys; Alex Terry, Colin Peters and Nick Poyner. Sheena is a real whizz on Pro tools and getting a really crisp sound out of the music! We kicked off at 9am and started by going through ‘Under the apple tree’, ‘Morning Star’ and ‘Praise your name’ vocals and instruments together. I had been so used to hearing my old acoustic versions and our old demos, that it was incredible to hear a fresh, fuller sound coming from these musicians! We worked through until 6pm, and were left with some great demos!
Next week I’ll be adding the vocals and then it’s onto the mixing! Recording the first batch of songs for this project is already proving to be a lot of fun! Obliged
